WEST COAST PREMIERE An encounter with an ill-fated loner creates parallel stories for two childhood friends. Adwin leads a solitary, structured life as the manager of a restaurant in a small town. Meanwhile, Cael fantasizes about life in the city but finds it hard commit, preferring to aimlessly wander the globe in faint hope of something better. After a chance encounter with an ill-fated loner, the two friends embark on a journey of self-discovery, learning that their lonely independence might be overrated. |

This film is a great effort by Director Albert Shin. The movie has three main characters that all deal with loneliness in different ways. The lead character, while seeming to be the most sensible of all the characters has an odd personality quirk and a very shocking way to deal with his loneliness and rejection. The eurasian actress plays a very believable character, though her character would have benefited from some additional development. While the movie was made up of quirky characters (though very much in touch with many of the quirks that we see in real life) is delivered in a no-nonsense way with no obvious plot flaws. Having the director and actors participate in a Q/A after the movie added significantly to the experience. I think we can expect many more great movies coming from Albert Shin in the future. Good job done!!!
